Each year the Orangeville Optimist Club transforms a small, out of the way park called Kay Cee Gardens into a winter light spectacle. This is known as Christmas in the Park. With the support of local businesses, the Optimist volunteers assemble over 50,000 lights and displays to be admired on a leisurely evening stroll, starting December 7 and twinkling every night till the 31st of December. During this event, the park is open from 5:30 PM to 10 PM.
Just in case the lights aren't enough reason to visit Kay Cee Gardens, there is hot chocolate available, a couple of Peruvian Alpacas to admire, the very clever “Whoville” display and of course, Santa Claus is there for photo opportunities from 6 to 8PM on Friday, Saturday and Sundays till Christmas.
Keep an eye out for Noelle the Elf, available for photo ops. David Nairn of Theatre Orangeville, for a reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas and a whole slate of other entertainment that is scheduled.
All this entertainment and the admission is FREE!
